‘A Show Of Faces’ – Ted Dwane

London Newcastle Gallery, November 2013

“’A Show of Faces’ will for the first time present a series of Dwane’s existing works whilst also accommodating his latest project ‘Major Minor Portraits’, a live collaboration between Dwane and immersive theatre group Reuben Feels.”

A.Bliss mounted and framed Ted’s first solo exhibition shown at the London Newcastle Gallery at the end of November 2013. Shot on a Rolleiflex and using a mobile darkroom, Dwane captures the many faces he encounters on the road as part of one of the most successful British bands of the last ten years, Mumford and Sons.

Dwane uses conventional printing methods throughout and this was mirrored in the mounting techniques we used. The fibre based prints were archivally mounted using a hot press – the best and only safe way to protect and display these prints over long periods. They were then framed in a matt black aluminium frame with cut out / window mounts as a surround to complete a classic, smart finish to the pieces.
